Tyra Stats

According to TB, 50% of guys ‘pine’ over an ex whereas only 27% of women ‘pine’ over an ex.

Interesting, huh?

Additionally, 100% of people polled think their favorite episode of Tyra is when she dressed up in a fat suit.  Do it again, T!

Part of the pathetic 50% or 27%?  Don’t fret, you’re not alone!

Rick Sanchez: 1, Michael Goldfarb: 0

What a douche. Michael Goldfarb just made himself and the The McCain campaign look like total idiots, and dishonest idiots to boot! It seems to be commonplace for them (the Republicans) to make sweeping, and I mean SWEEPING, generalizations that seem to be backed by misleading data – if even. This Michael guy is supposedly a high up communications director for the McCain campaign, which makes this almost sad.

Check out this clip of CNN’s Rick Sanchez calling Goldfarb out for the hypocrisy of hyping a sinister connection between Obama and a guy that McCain funneled hundreds of thousands of dollars to, and from there, Goldfarb goes right off the rails, refusing to answer Sanchez’s questions with anything other than intimations. Repeatedly asked to name a second anti-Semite that Obama allegedly “pals around with,” Goldfarb does nothing but issue hollow, Page Six-style intimations. (source)

“We both know who number 2 is.” Classic idiot move.

By Popular Demand: Amy Winehouse, Before and After

It’s amazing really, cause she’s a beautiful girl. Supremely talented, and actually really sweet when I’ve seen her in interviews.

Check this link out and the article from The Daily Mirror. I’m not saying she does drugs, but I’m saying that she looks vastly different and that drugs are bad. No correlation, NONE AT ALL.

I Think My House Is Moving

Check out the pic on your left, it’s a building where the floors independently move throughout the day, giving it a different aesthetic throughout the day too. He’s currently in discussions about building something like it for NYC.

It’s designed by David Fisher at Dynamic Architecture and he’s already designed such an edifice in Dubai called the Dynamic Tower, billed as the “world’s first building in motion.” Dr. Fisher, an architect based in Florence, he told me that he hopes groundbreaking for the Dubai tower will occur “within a matter of weeks,” and said that the problems in the credit market haven’t affected the project.

The tower is supposed to generate enough electricity to supply the power needs for itself as well as buildings nearby. The electricity will come from horizontal wind turbines tucked away between each of its 80 floors, and from solar photovoltaic cells on the roof each story. As the individual floors move, about 20 percent of each roof is expected to be exposed to the sun at any time of the day.

Ooh, Pretty Dashboard

From CNET: Today we have news of the hybrid version of the Ford Fusion and the 2010 Mercury Milan, due to hit dealers in the first quarter of 2009. Both cars get a new generation of the full hybrid system currently used in the Ford Escape Hybrid and Mercury Mariner Hybrid. Ford isn’t giving out many details about this new hybrid system beyond the fact that it will get 5 mpg more than the Toyota Camry Hybrid. However, Ford has shown off the instrument cluster for the cars, a new concept in helping driver’s learn about their cars and achieve maximum fuel economy.

We’ve long been fascinated by the power flow animations in current hybrid cars, which show when power is coming from the electric motor of gas engine. Ford takes this idea a step further, placing LCDs on either side of the speedometer. Similar to concept cars we’ve seen at many car shows, the LCDs can be configured to show different kinds of information. Ford breaks the different standard displays down like this:

Ford breaks the different standard displays down like this:

  • Inform: Fuel level and battery charge status
  • Enlighten: Adds electric vehicle mode indicator and tachometer
  • Engage: Adds engine output power and battery output power
  • Empower: Adds power to wheels, engine pull-up threshold and accessory power consumption

The leaves on the right get greener as you get better mileage – cool eh?

“Trick Or Treat” Goes Multi-Lingual

With Halloween upon us, many people are teaching their adorable children to gleefully exclaim the words “Trick or treat!” when kind strangers open their doors in the moonlight. Now, I always felt that saying, “Give me some candy NOW bitch, uh, please” was highly effective, it might not be the most gentle way of saying it. I mean, after all, they are giving YOU something right?

I feel that in order to help people train their children to not just be a C-student, perhaps they could kick it up a notch and say it in a different language. I mean, who wants to be average? Do you know how many times people hear charming words on any Halloween night? Well, I’m here to help but keep in mind that while many cultures don’t celebrate Halloween, many people in the United States that speak other languages might. These are the closest translations I could find but if you know of any others, add them in the comments.

  • French: “friandises ou betiste”
  • German: “Süßes oder Saures”.
  • Italian: “dolcetto o scherzzetto! dolcetto o scherzzetto!”
  • Spanish: “triqui triqui”

Another idea, just brought up to me by B, is that perhaps you could utilitize the switch-a-roo method by bringing a second change of clothes and then utter another one of these phrases, double the candy without double the foot travel – genius! And you know those adults will be saying, “Awww, we have such an international community of children” and then SLAM, there goes the door.
