Oh Snap, NeNe Gets Evicted!

nene1It’s true, It’s true.  NeNe & Greg Leakes were evicted from their Duluth, GA home for being over $6K delinquent in rent payments.

NeNe provided the following statement in an email regarding her situation and current location:
“It’s none of your business,” she wrote. But she noted that they “are financial able and stable to live where ever we feel fits.”

This only adds to my position regarding the Housewives of Atlanta since the season began:  Atlanta is straight outta Bright Lights, Big City and If Its Glittering – That Shid Ain’t Gold.

Wasn’t NeNe the one who said ‘We gonna set it straight tonight’?  I bet her landlord wishes she’d set it straight.

A Fierce to Fierce Meeting

Shane Mercado and Beyonce met at her premiere for Cadillac Records. The fierceness was so intense that I decided to link to the article for fear of blowing up my computer with a hot-assed pic.

Go here to see it.

Akon – Freedom

Here’s a quick summary of Akon’s new album, Freedom:

akon2

All his ballads about street life and/or love are lame

Isn’t his street cred reputation still suspect anyhow?

There are a few tracks that are OK (Right Now, I’m So Paid, & We Don’t Care)

All together, it’s worth the $4 that Amazon has it discounted for today, but it’s not worth much more (ie. we are in a recession y’all).  If you miss today’s special, hit me up offline and we’ll work something out.

Lindsay Lohan and Samantha Ronson Are Still Lovahs

lindsay-sam

Lindsay took to her blog to complain about Facebook account and while I don’t really care about that, she did add an important P.S. and I felt compelled to applaud her for it. By the way, what is Facebook good for? If I get another fucking plant or good karma wish, I’m going to shut that shit off – after updating my status as being, “Rubbing one out while watching this video, you jealous?” Anyway, below is her P.S. that I mentioned:

oy vey! rumors..

just to clear this up.. because i have been getting a lot of emails asking me this one question.

samantha ronson and lindsay lohan (me) are NOT breaking up

Foreclosure + Homeless = Win Win?

In various parts of the United States, people like activist Max Rameau in Miami are moving homeless people into foreclosed homes. In Cleveland, the homeless are being allowed to move into broken down and abandoned homes to fix them up and to have a roof over their heads. In Atlanta, property owners are actually paying homeless to live in their homes for security reasons.

What are your thoughts on this? My thoughts are that as long as it’s being done in a systematic way and being monitored, I’m all for it. There’s no reason empty houses should be remaining while we still have homeless on the street. Like this article says, everyone deserves a home. Now, this can’t be the long-term solution, the government and banks still should be working with people at risk of foreclosure so that the number of empty houses doesn’t increase or else we’ll have more homeless people and more debt will rest on the banks’ poor credit assessments. And that is exactly why our housing situation is suffering and why so many people are getting laid off from banks, like me!

So, what do you think of this somewhat “renegade” effort?

Alert Miss Cleo, There’s Work to be Done

miss-cleo

This statement took a “blue-ribbon panel assembled by Congress” to determine? I mean, OK, here’s my prediction: I predict that in the next 5 years a hurricane will cause increased flooding somewhere in the south. Now where’s my check? Damn people, did they get Miss Cleo on that panel? See an excerpt down below:

Terrorists are likely to use a weapon of mass destruction somewhere in the world in the next five years, a blue-ribbon panel assembled by Congress has concluded.

They are more likely to use a biological weapon than a nuclear one — and the results could be devastating, the chairman of the commission told CNN.

“The consequences of a biological attack are almost beyond comprehension. It would be 9/11 times 10 or a hundred in terms of the number of people who would be killed,” former Sen. Bob Graham said.

Britney on ‘Good Morning America’

Watch this clip of her performing “Circus” off her new album with the same title. Again, doesn’t anyone want to say, “Why aren’t you singing?” I can only imagine how weird it must be to be sitting in the audience and not hearing live music or sound out of the speakers.
