Heating Up Your Swimsuit Area in the Hospital

I just stumbled across this video about a new hospital gown that they’re using at Baylor, it heats up and covers the whole body. Also, the patient gets to control the thermostat and for us gents, that’s a nice feature. “It was cold!” You know what I’m talking about.

Watch This Video – The (Wedding) License

It’s a pretty strong statement for people that argue religion and tradition for reasons to not let gay people get married.

Red Bull Cola Gives You Wing…I Mean, Cocaine?

A German scientific finding that Red Bull Cola contains trace amounts of cocaine has prompted a controversy over the drink, analysts say.

The Health Institute in the German state of North Rhine Westphalia is expected this week to publish the results of a study that found 0.13 micrograms of cocaine per can of Red Bull Cola, a separate product from the popular Red Bull energy drink, triggered a ban on the cola’s sale in six German states, Time Magazine reported Monday.

Red Bull, of Santa Monica, Calif., says on its Web site it uses coca leaves as a flavoring agent in the making of its cola, but insists it removes the illegal cocaine alkaloid. The alkaloid’s removal is required for the sale of coca leaves outside the Andean region of South America, the magazine said.

Lady Gaga Made A Hot Video

Concept, concept, concept. With the help of Jonas Akerlund (Madonna’s “Ray of Light” vid), she does in fact create a great masterpiece of a video. In part creepy, part sexy, part dance-oriented, but the whole Mad-Hatter/Geisha/Minnie Mouse look towards the end with the sinister smile does freak me out a bit.

Without further ado, check it out. I admire her balls, figuratively of course.

Adam Lambert Likes “The Top” & Snaps Back At Clay Aiken

The top bunk, wink wink. Hysterical though! If the video isn’t appearing, argh, then click here to see it. And check out this little quote from Adam, whom I think is fantastic, about Clay Aiken:

“I don’t know Clay,” Lambert told Access Hollywood Thursday. “I’m glad he’s getting headlines now though, because he wasn’t before.” “If he wants to ride my coattails about it, good for him,” Lambert said before giving Aiken a thumbs-up sign. SNAP!

Northwest Puppy Mill Seized – WTF People!

WTF, this totally pisses me off – how can we help, what can we do to stop this? Start by going here and signing this pledge.

From the AP: More than 400 dogs, including three newborn puppies, have been removed from a puppy mill that is being called “one of the worst cases” of animal abuse seen by animal groups and state officials.

“The conditions were not only shocking, but also heartbreaking to veteran deputies,” said Benton County Sheriff Larry Taylor, who led the raid Wednesday at the Sun Valley kennel of 66-year-old Ella Stewart.

Dogs were found living in wooden crates, shopping carts and other makeshift kennels caked with feces and soaked with urine, investigators said. Detectives wore gloves and put booties on their shoes before walking onto the 2-acre property.

All the dogs will need medical care and some will require extensive treatment, Taylor said. Some dogs suffered from malnutrition while others had urine burns and overgrown nails.

Daily Tune-Up: Empathize With You

tuneupdailyThursday, May 28

How do you know if you are listening to your ego or to your soul?

When you are listening to your ego, you’re thinking only of yourself. When you are listening to your soul, you’re putting someone else into the equation.

Today, notice how difficult it is NOT to think only of yourself. And remember that the source of our joy comes from erasing ourselves and empathizing with others.

Apple, You Might Have Real Competion

More and more is coming about the Palm Pre and yes, Apple might be showing up with a new iPhone but in the meantime, the Pre could really be a competitor. Once you add the “App Store” type functionality AND then make it compatible with iTunes, you’ve closed a major gap right there. Here’s some information I stumbled across on CNET:

CARLSBAD, Calif.–In one of the more anticipated chats at D: All Things Digital, Palm Executive Chairman Jon Rubinstein showed off the Palm Pre and talked about several features of the smartphone for the first time.

Rubinstein showed how the device can search Amazon’s MP3 store and download songs directly to the device, a feature mentioned at the Pre’s unveiling at CES in January. The Pre is scheduled to go on sale June 6 with a price tag of $199.99, after rebate.

He also showed a “media sync” feature that lets users grab nonprotected media files directly from iTunes without any special software. In addition, the universal search feature will not only search Google and Wikipedia, but also Twitter.
