You Might Be Dead, But You Can’t Park There

retarded1So here’s the story in a nutshell: In Gainesville, Florida, a dead man was lying inside of a BMW – the neighbors got fed up of seeing the car there for two weeks and finally went up to the car and after peering into the window, noticed a dead body in it. And oh yeah, the car had 7 tickets on it.

The power of observation here is definitely worth adding to their resume. And what terrible person made the picture on the left here, and why are you laughing? Evil evil people. (come sit next to me)

Take a gander at the video here

Foreclosure + Homeless = Win Win?

In various parts of the United States, people like activist Max Rameau in Miami are moving homeless people into foreclosed homes. In Cleveland, the homeless are being allowed to move into broken down and abandoned homes to fix them up and to have a roof over their heads. In Atlanta, property owners are actually paying homeless to live in their homes for security reasons.

What are your thoughts on this? My thoughts are that as long as it’s being done in a systematic way and being monitored, I’m all for it. There’s no reason empty houses should be remaining while we still have homeless on the street. Like this article says, everyone deserves a home. Now, this can’t be the long-term solution, the government and banks still should be working with people at risk of foreclosure so that the number of empty houses doesn’t increase or else we’ll have more homeless people and more debt will rest on the banks’ poor credit assessments. And that is exactly why our housing situation is suffering and why so many people are getting laid off from banks, like me!

So, what do you think of this somewhat “renegade” effort?

Mormon Thievery

Much has been voiced about the discrimination of the approval of Proposition 8 in California, but maybe you’re like me and were really surprised the vote came down to such a close percentage spread.

Since then, I’ve been wondering how could it have passed…?  Here’s an interesting theory, Mormon Thievery & Oppression.

In short, the site above summarizes the efforts of the Mormon Church to lead a feet on the street, propaganda, and fear based campaign to sway voters to pass Prop 8.  (Additionally, the site goes on into explaining the positioning, history, and agenda of the Mormon Church, which I always think is good info to review from time to time, so I know who it is that is knocking on my door, riding around my neighborhood on a bike, etc.)

Controversy without recourse…?  NO!  According to the IRS, groups such as the Mormon Church can lose their tax exempt status if they participate in the actions, summarized above.

If you’re a California resident, there’s an online petition that you can use to express your support for rallying to amend the tax laws towards the Mormon Church.  If you’re not a CA resident then keep an eye out for similar efforts in your area.

Finally, if you haven’t already seen enough on this subject, there are a few interesting videos for you after the jump.

The Right To Bare Arms

Read the Story:   Florida nudists want their own clothing-optional polling site

I support anything that will help the voters of Florida get their shid together.  If nothing else, there will be a different kind of funny business going on rather than the normal chad chase!
