It was painful for me to not type the obvious but then I think to myself, I’m trying to go to the gym daily and struggle with making the right choices on food each day. But then the little devil on my shoulder says to myself, “Well, you can’t afford a personal trainer and/or a personal chef, and you (me) aren’t in the public eye – Harry Connick Jr. is and CAN.”
So I shall focus on how adorable he is and how happy he looks, and how precious his family is. There, I did it and it just feels like the right thing to do.

In other Common related news…. Today, CNN released a few thoughts from MR. UMC in regards to the future of hip hop and the impact of Barack Obama:
“I think hip-hop artists will have no choice but to talk about different things and more positive things, and try to bring a brighter side to that because, even before Barack, I think people had been tired of hearing the same thing,”.
Kind of old news here, but the response from Coldplay is rather new.
Here’s the skinny: Joe Satriani, a rock guy, tried to talk with Coldplay about what he felt was a bit too close of a similarity between his “If I Can Fly” and Coldplay’s “La Vida Loca”. Oh wait, I mean “Vida La Vida”. Anyway, he says they wouldn’t respond so he filed suit. To which Coldplay responded:
“Fuck you, who are you anyway?” OK, I made that up, here’s their real response:
“If there are any similarities between our two pieces of music, they are entirely coincidental, and just as surprising to us as to him,” the band says in a statement.
“Joe Satriani is a great musician, but he did not write the song ‘Viva La Vida.’ We respectfully ask him to accept our assurances of this and wish him well with all future endeavors.”
The Carter will premiere during January’s Sundance Film Festival.
“The Carter” is said to take “an in-depth, intimate look at the artist Dwayne ‘Lil Wayne’ Carter Jr., proclaimed by many as the ‘greatest rapper alive.’
Now, I didn’t say nothing when I saw you kissing on Jamie Foxx a few years back, but you know betta: It’s due on the 1st > Late on the 5th > Papers come after 60 > Yard sale at 120!!!
Lead role in The Color Purple or not, the bills have got to be paid! “OooooWeeee, Barrino!”
It was such a nice house too, but in good southern tradition we are going to do our part to help you out. We are going to pass the offering plate this next Sunday at church for you and hopefully we’ll be able to send some baked goods your way as well. Of course, we do have to collect a 45% administrative cost for the offering, but it’ll be a’ight.
Now you may want to rekindle that debauchery you had with Mr. Foxx b/c you know he’s coming out with an album this week…
DES MOINES — The Iowa Supreme Court will hear oral arguments Tuesday in a pivotal same-sex marriage case that could echo throughout the nation and be far more difficult to challenge at the ballot box than a high-profile ruling in California, legal experts say.
The case, Varnum v. Brien, could make Iowa the first state in the Midwest to legalize gay marriage, says University of Iowa law professor Angela Onwuachi-Willig. Other high-court decisions favorable to gay rights advocates have come from traditionally liberal, coastal states: California, Massachusetts and Connecticut.

I know it’s somewhere in the middle, but there will be plenty of time to figure that out later. Depending upon how this goes down, maybe this will be the month I have all my innermost desires fulfilled:
1.) TI performed on SNL
2.) Kanye had a song on Grey’s Anatomy
3.) Gay marriage makes another step forward which may allow me to one day launch my new site, barnyard-match.com
