A View of the C

Funny – Inappropriate – Edumacational

Apparently, The Bible Doesn’t Like Anyone…

I just don’t get it anymore (well, that’s neither here nor there) – I mean, I don’t comprehend religious justifications about anything these days.

Case In Point – Watch this video and tell me what you think

Be forewarned that it’s odd, extensively offensive, requires a semi long attention span, and displays some crazy people who for all you know could sit next to your cubicle on the daily.

Keep an eye out for the look on the face of the innocent bystander lady with a Dasani water bottle who has to cross through the mob about 5 1/2 mins into the protest mob display of aggression in NYC.  Classic!

Melissa Etheridge, I’m With Ya Sister!

Melissa Etheridge takes to the blogs and talks about how she feels about Prop 8 passing, which basically makes any gay marriages in California null and void. Here’s an excerpt from the complete blog entry:

“Okay. So Prop 8 passed. Alright, I get it. 51% of you think that I am a second class citizen. Alright then. So my wife, uh I mean, roommate? Girlfriend? Special lady friend? You are gonna have to help me here because I am not sure what to call her now. Anyways, she and I are not allowed the same right under the state constitution as any other citizen. Okay, so I am taking that to mean I do not have to pay my state taxes because I am not a full citizen…Gay people are born everyday. You will never legislate that away… Obama has been elected president. This crazy fearful insanity will end soon. ”

I find it interesting that I could marry a stripper this weekend in Vegas and because it’s a female, somehow it is considered to be blessed by God, yet if I’ve been in a committed, monogamous, loving relationship with a man for many years, somehow it’s less blessed by God. And better yet, I could marry that stripper, get a divorce, marry another stripper (let’s say that I have a thing for strippers), get divorced, and on and on…yet, that still would be better than being in one gay relationship forever. How is that even logical? If people are worried about the sanctity of marriage, perhaps they should reduce or abolish the ability to get divorced – just a thought.

You know, the Bible says many many things that aren’t exactly, let’s say, accurate for today’s times or even consistent in the times it was written. Have a look if you don’t believe me. No disrespect to the Bible, but it is something to ponder eh?
