Seattle Light Rail: Is It Worth It? HELL YES!

Personally, I’d rather have less time with my family, sit in more traffic, have an increased frustration level, and become an even less desirable city. Wouldn’t you? It’s all connected, whether you take 99, I-5, 405, whatever – if there’s traffic, you’ll feel it. So if I have to pay more sales tax to make Seattle a better overall city, I’m willing to do it whether or not I actually would ride it. Come on people!

BlackBerry Bold Comes Up For Air

Are we getting closer to the release of the BlackBerry Bold?  Seems like we might finally be gearing up for it and in the past RIM has stated that they don’t want to release a product before all of the hiccups have been worked out. *cough, Apple*

It’s very pretty and if you like the BB user-interface, you might really dig this. Here’s a review from CNET and they also have a video on the site:

The good: The RIM BlackBerry Bold boasts one of the sharpest displays we’ve seen on a smartphone and offers great multimedia performance. The smartphone also brings HSDPA support, more productivity tools, and an updated OS. Other goodies include Wi-Fi; GPS; Bluetooth; and strong e-mail support with full QWERTY keyboard.

The bad: The Bold is a bit bulky and expensive. The Web browser isn’t as easy to navigate as the competition.

The bottom line: For those who waited, the RIM BlackBerry Bold won’t disappoint. The Bold impresses with its brilliant display, enhanced productivity tools, and excellent multimedia performance to deliver a more powerful and well-rounded smartphone to mobile professionals.

Tivo Is My New Best Friend

Oh, who am I kidding – Tivo already was my BFF. My others have tried (ahem, Comcast DVR) but now it’s going to get even better because they’re partnering with Netflix to allow streaming movies right from the menu on the Tivo. They’re currently testing it and in December, it should be live. This should not be confused with Amazon Unbox, which was OK but not great (I could never find any good new releases) and also took a while to download from their site to your Tivo. But now that slow experience is going to be behind us, check this article after the jump. Continue reading
